Baby showers are a fun time for friends and family to come together and celebrate the soon-to-follow arrival of a precious baby. Often times, hosts will plan games for guests to join-in at the shower. So, if you are, or know someone who is planning a baby shower, you’ll want to read our series on fun baby shower games that are sure to spice up any party.
The Game: Secrets Can Be Fun
How it Works: In order to play this game you’ll need both the expectant mommy and the expectant daddy at the baby shower. As the host, it’ll be your responsibility to get the expectant parents to tell you their secrets – so to speak – prior to the day of the shower. Come up with 10 juicy questions including: would you rather have a boy or a girl?; what do you want your child to be when he/she grows up?; where were you when you found out you/your wife was expecting?, etc. Make sure you ask each person these questions while the other parent is away, so their “secrets are safe with you;” also you should record their answers for use on the day of the shower.
When the shower finally arrives you’ll ask the expectant parents the questions again, but this time they’ll be trying to answer how they think their husband/wife answered the questions. If they answer the question in the same way as their husband/wife answered prior then they’ll get a point, and the expectant parent who ends up with the most points wins.
This game is fun for a coed baby shower, and even though it’s not interactive (with guest involvement) it’s always entertaining to watch!
