Baby showers are a fun time for friends and family to come together and celebrate the arrival of a precious baby. Often times, hosts will plan games for guests to join-in at the shower. So, if you or know someone is planning a baby shower you’ll want to read our series on fun baby shower games that are sure to spice up any party.
The Game: When Will Baby Arrive?
How It Works: When Will Baby Arrive is a fun and popular baby shower game your guests will love! In order to play the game you’ll need a calendar page printout of the month the expecting mommy is due. If it’s the beginning of the month you’ll also want the month prior, and if it’s at the end of the month you’ll also want the month following.
Allow guests to “buy into” this fun guessing game with diapers. A box of diapers will allow them one guess; additional boxes of diapers will allow the guest more guesses. Each person who “buys in” will be allowed to write their name on the date they think baby will arrive; this is where the printout calendars will come in handy. They’ll also need to write down whether Baby will arrive in the AM or PM (split the day at noon). Once every guest has signed the calendar the waiting begins. Nobody will be named winner until after Baby arrives, at which point, the baby shower guest who guessed closest to the actual day and time of the delivery wins an extra special prize like a spa gift card or a special outing coupon!
Tip: Make sure guests know to bring a box of diapers prior to the event, so they’re prepared to “buy in”!
