Baby showers are a special time for friends and family to come together and celebrate the arrival of a precious baby. Often times, hosts will plan games for guests to join-in at the shower. So, if you are, or know someone who is planning a baby shower, you’ll want to read our series on fun baby shower games that are sure to spice up any party.

The Game: Pass the Dirty Diaper

How it Works: Just think back to being a kid and playing “Hot Potato”. Pass the Dirty Diaper is essentially the same game, but with a couple of twists. Prior to playing the game, melt a chocolate bar in the microwave and smear it onto a diaper. The host will be in-charge of turning the music on and off, as you probably won’t want the game to drag on for hours. The rules of the game are simple: the guests will gather together forming a circle, and the host will give one guest the dirty diaper to begin. When the music starts the guests will pass the dirty diaper around the circle in a clockwise (or counter clockwise) direction. When the host stops the music, the person holding the diaper is eliminated. The circle then shrinks and the guests will continue the process of passing the dirty diaper until there’s only one person remaining.

Pass the Dirty Diaper is a classic game, and a definite baby shower favorite. Have fun with it, and don’t forget to bring a fun prize for the winner!
