The Celebrity Baby Boom didn’t stop in 2011. In fact, 2012 has already proven to be a powerful year with news of growth and excitement taking center stage for many celebrity couples.
We don’t want you to fall behind, so we put together a list of expectant celebrities and more. Stay tuned each week as we’ll be documenting five new celerity parents.
First off we have Beyonce Knowles and hubby Jay-Z. This happy couple welcomed their baby girl into the world on January 7, 2012. Parents.com reminds us of one of this couple’s most memorable moments. “Beyoncé announced her pregnancy at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. Before her performance of ‘Love on Top,’ Beyoncé told the crowd, ‘I want you to stand up on your feet. I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside me.’ At the end of the song, she dropped her microphone, unbuttoned her blazer, and rubbed her bump,” explains Parents.com.
Next we have the beautiful Jennifer Garner and her husband, Ben Affleck. This happy couple’s family grew by one this February when Baby Samuel was born on the 27th. As trends go, this celebrity couple took to social media to announce the happy arrival of their son in saying, “We are happy to announce on February 27, Jennifer gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Samuel Garner Affleck,” according to Parents.com.
Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie were thrilled to announce the arrival of their first child, Luca, just last month. Lizzie McGuire fans had followed Duff’s pregnancy from beginning to end thanks to Duff’s regular blog and social media notes. Everyone’s excited to see what comes next for this adorable new family!
Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are expecting their baby any time now, and fans couldn’t be more excited. Parents.com reminds us of Jessica’s memorable baby announcement over Halloween weekend. “After weeks of speculation, Simpson confirmed her pregnancy on Halloween on Twitter with a picture of herself in a mummy costume. She wrote, “It’s true — I’m going to be a mummy!” explains Parents.com.
And lastly, this week, we’ll mention Maggie Gyllenhaal who has yet to announce her due date. She and hubby Peter Sarsgaard have been married since 2009 and have a five-year-old daughter named Ramona. We’re certainly looking forward to hearing more from this glowing couple.
