The Celebrity Gifting Suite preceding the Golden Globe Awards was incredibly fun, and the DaddyScrubs team enjoyed meeting the many fantastic celebrity moms and dads in attendance.
Joey Lawrence’s wife, Chandie stopped by to chat, and we were thrilled to take a picture with the beautiful mother to Lawrence’s two daughters, Charleston and Liberty.
In a brief interview with Celebrity Baby Scoop, Chandie had the opportunity to talk about Joey’s experience wearing DaddyScrubs,
We asked Joey Lawrence‘s wife Chandie: Did Joey wear the DaddyScrubs during the delivery of your second child? CL: “As soon as I was induced, he put the scrubs on and then he ran around the whole hospital wearing them. And everyone was like, ‘Are you working here?’”
Did he stay in them the whole time? CL: “Absolutely. He was too busy to change.”
Was it a different experience, did he feel better having a uniform? CL: “It did, I think he felt more official. He owned it. He was trying to help the doctors.”
Lawrence’s first role as an actor was for a Cracker Jack commercial. He appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson when he was only five years old to preform the song “Give My Regards to Broadway.”
Lawrence appeared in Diff’rent Strokes and Silver Spoons before landing the role of Joey Donovan in Gimme a Break!.
Later, Lawrence co-starred in Blossom a popular television series in which he played the role of teenager Joey Russo and coined the phrase, “whoa!”.
Since then, he has had roles inBrotherly Love, Run of the House, American Dreams, Urban Legends: Final Cut, Dancing with the Stars, Chicago, Master of Dance, My Fake Fiance and Melissa and Joey.
We love that Lawrence is a DaddyScrubs fan. In 2010, he appeared in Pregnancy Magazine proudly sporting a pair.
It was great to meet and talk with Lawrence’s wife, Chandie at the gifting suite. And we know we can expect great things from Charleston and Liberty in the future.
