The DaddyScrubs team attended the Boom Boom Room preceding the Golden Globe Awards and had a blast rubbing elbows with celebrity parents. Actress, Essence Atkins made an appearance at the event and even stopped by for a picture!
Atkins is well known for her role in Half and Half where she played Dee Dee Thorne. She’s also acted in the popular show Smart Guy and is currently starring in Are We There Yet?
This starlet’s career began when she appeared in classic television series like: Sister Sister, How High, Deliver Us from Eva, Family Matters and The Cosby Show.
Atkins is married to Jamie Mendez, and the happy couple are parents to a beautiful baby boy named Varro Blair; Varro was born on December 25, 2011.
