The Song: “Watching You” tells about a father-son relationship; it’s a great reminder that daddies need to be good examples for their children because, as the song suggests, they’re “watching you” all the time! This song is co-written and recorded by Rodney Atkins, and was number one on Billboards in 2007.
The Artist: Rodney is a popular country singer and songwriter. He signed with Curb Records in 1996 and charted his very first single in 1997. Throughout the years, Atkins has been nominated for the Academy of Country Music six times and won Top New Male Vocalist in 2006. He is a daddy to one son, Elijah.
“Watching You” is a great song about being a daddy and facing a few of the many fatherhood struggles that often come with Daddyhood.
