Songs for every Daddy’s Girl
A popular song and certainly a classic hit, Bob Carlisle’s “Butterfly Kisses” is a sweet song for every daddy’s girl.
The Song: “Butterfly Kisses” was written by Bob Carlisle and Randy Thomas to honor Carlisle’s daughter on her 16th birthday. The song was a Number One single on the Adult Contemporary chart in 1997, received a Dove Award for Song of the Year as well as a Grammy Award for Best Country Song.
The Artist: Bob Carlisle is a wonderful musician – writing and recording in the country and Christian genres. He has two children, Brooke and Evan, and he’s extremely well known for his success with the popular “Butterfly Kisses” song, which debuted on his album, Shades of Grace in 1997.
“Butterfly Kisses” is no doubt a beautiful song about a father-daughter relationship, but it also reminds us to live in the present cherishing each and every day your daughter is still “daddy’s little girl”.
