Daddy Nickell Explains Dadchelor Parties

Recently, DaddyScrubs’ founder and daddy to six (with a seventh on the way), Daddy Nickell was interviewed live on-air at KVIL Dallas where he explained the increasingly popular idea of a Dadchelor Party.

It all began when dads decided they wanted to have a greater role in the process of pregnancy to labor and delivery and beyond. More and more baby showers are becoming coed or “couple showers,” which has led to the ultimate idea of a Dadchelor Party. A Dadchelor Party still allows for the expectant mommy to have a seperate baby shower with all of her friends and family while Dad-to-be gets a special party surrounded by his friends and family, too!

These expectant dad parties are often themed, as Daddy Nickell explains of Dean McDermott’s DaddyScrubs’ sponsored Dadchelor Party at Triple B Clays Shooting Range.  Other ideas we’ve heard of are Diaper Parties where each guest brings a box of diapers in exchange for beer, Tool Parties where a group of the soon-to-be dad’s friends and family get together with a bunch of tools to build the new baby’s crib, toys and furniture and more. However you decide to host it, a Dadchelor Party is a great way to get together with “the guys” and discuss the excitements of the future.
