Minnesota Baby Blogger, Melissa Saigh, gifted a pair of DaddyScrubs to an expectant friend who had a lot to say about wearing his very own set of DaddyScrubs and proudly showing off his new daddy status.
New daddy Ted Anderson had the following to say about his experiences wearing DaddyScrubs in the labor and delivery room:
With the birth of our baby boy Tucker, I found myself challenged as a Dad, to feel like I am doing enough to support my wife through labor. Flowers come by the dozens, stuffed animals from family members, and of course lunches and dinners. While fathers are limited in where they can help in the delivery room, the most important weapon in our arsenal is to be a pillar of emotional support. Wearing DaddyScrubs on our big day felt like a classy and comfortable (don’t we all love donning scrubs for comfort now and again) way to stand out and show my pride.
DaddyScrubs have a classy design that made me feel confident as a new dad while greeting the droves of in-laws and friends, and even my college buddies enjoyed the charisma.
While I know that my wife and immediate family have been ingrained with the understanding of how excited I was for a baby, DaddyScrubs received a dozen remarks from nurses and various people in my wife’s bubble about how sweet a dad I must be. I think for such a small item, the results we experienced surprisingly fun and entertaining to say the least. I still enjoy wearing them around the house or for getting jobs done with the kids. Also, getting a little present on the day of delivery, as a dad was an exciting change-up. I like to call it a “pull present”.
