A Dad’s Greatest Gift is the Birth of his Child: Meet Jay Y.
New daddy Jay Y. recently welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world! And for the arrival of his son, Jay proudly wore a pair of Classic Edgy Green DaddyScrubs.
I had the pleasure of speaking with Jay, and asking with him about being a brand new daddy! Here’s what he had to say:
Q: What was your first thought upon holding your brand new bundle of joy?
A: I couldn’t believe he was actually here and I was actually a Dad now. I thought his head was oddly shaped but I was warned ahead about this. I just couldn’t believe how beautiful he was!
Q: What advice do you have for other new and expectant parents?
A: It’s a team effort! Do things together; go to classes together, practice baby care together, labor together, and rest up. It takes both parents to do the work. It’s very tiring, but at the end you’ll forget how hard it was and just be so happy every time you see your child.
Q: How did you feel wearing your DaddyScrubs at the hospital?
A: I was very proud of my DaddyScrubs and was happy to be able to strut my stuff. It made me feel special because everyone knew I was the Daddy. It came with such a feeling of accomplishment because I worked just as hard with my wife.
Q: What was the reaction you received from people at the hospital when you wore your DaddyScrubs?
A: They thought I was a nurse and asked me which hospital I worked for. Then they looked again and [said things like] “Oh, that’s real nice!” I liked showing the hospital I was the Dad.
