Go Green with gDiapers
The Company: gDiapers makes eco-friendly diapers with disposable, biodegradable liners and adorable, “green” diaper covers.
The Story: Two environmentally thoughtful parents founded gDiapers. As the story goes, “One day over breakfast, Jason and Kim Graham-Nye came across an interesting fact. They found that conventional disposable diapers are the third largest contributors to landfills in the world. And yet! Only five percent of the population uses them,” explains gDiapers’ website.
They go on to explain, “It was a fact of stunning proportion met by another amazing fact: a single disposable diaper can take up to 500 years to biodegrade in the landfill. That got the Graham-Nyes thinking, since they were about to have a baby themselves. At 60 diapers a week until toilet training kicks in plus the likelihood of having more than one child, well, it was beyond comprehension.”
So, as you can imagine, the rest is history – as they say. Jason and Kim began researching ways in which they could reduce their family’s footprint and keep a few more diapers out of landfills. Before long, gDiapers was founded.
The Details: gDiapers has thought of everything to help make diapering your child easy and environmentally friendly. Their gRefills are completely biodegradable and can be flushed down the toilet, composted (wet-only) or thrown away. Their little gPants come in varying sizes for your growing baby and are available in a variety of colors and patterns.
