As many of you know, DaddyScrubs’ founder, Daddy Nickell recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world! And for the arrival of his daughter, Daddy Nickell proudly wore a pair of Navy Blue Edgy DaddyScrubs, of course!
I interviewed Daddy Nickell on his experience in the delivery room, and here’s what he had to say:
Q: What was your first thought upon holding your brand new bundle of joy?
A: Even after 6 babies, it was still an amazing experience. When they come out and get wrapped up, they are just so calm and serene; the first thing I always do is make sure my wife gets to see the baby and hold her.
Q: What advice do you have for other new and expectant parents?
A: Do not have too many expectations; go into the process with enthusiastic curiosity and amazement. The road to delivery and the final outcome can take a lot of different pathways, and my advice is to enjoy the ride, the highs, the lows, the joy and the worry – every moment is a new opportunity towards the miracle of a new baby.
Q: How did you feel wearing your DaddyScrubs at the hospital?
A: Proud and happy.
Q: What was the reaction you received from people at the hospital when you wore your DaddyScrubs?
A: They loved them! As I walked up and down the hallways, I heard “hi daddy,” “I’m the daddy,” “you are the daddy;” people asked about where I got them, and told me how cool they think they are, too!
